Blowing Off Steam: Dr. Elizabeth Weiser (via Zoom)

Presented by Professor Elizabeth Weiser, Professor of Rhetoric, Department of English at The Ohio State University

Civil war, occupation, genocide. National museums in many nations have had to walk the difficult line between telling the truth about past atrocities and reconciling divided constituents. One rhetorical term for this is the "comic corrective." In this time of U.S. division, cultural rhetoric may provide some insight into what may be necessary for renewed national identification.

Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math (S.T.E.A.M.) talks are informal community based open forum discussions featuring different topic leaders each month. Free and open to the public.

Brought to you by Ohio State University - Newark, Denison University, and the Granville Public Library.

Registration Required. You will receive an email with the Zoom meeting information about an hour before the start of the program.
