Volunteering at the Library

Volunteers are essential members of the library team.  Their efforts help to improve service by freeing up paid staff to actively assist patrons and to create new and exciting material and program offerings.  They also serve as "library ambassadors" in the community, letting people know about all of the great things happening at the library.

Those interested in volunteering at the library on a regular ongoing basis can get the process started by filling out a Volunteer Application and returning it to Anna Carlson at acarlson@granvillelibrary.org.  We offer periodic orientation sessions where we train new volunteers for work at the library.  After you fill out and return your application, you will be contacted.

Teens in grades 7-12 can volunteer as a member of our Teen Action Group.   T.A.G. meets monthly to work on various library projects, plan events, and prep for programming.   T.A.G. members also commit to assisting with Children's, Teen or Adult programming as they are able.   Teens are encouraged to submit a TAG Application for consideration.
