The Denison University Alchemy Manuscript: Building an International Resource around an Astonishing Local Object.

Dr. Fred Porcheddu-Engel presents the exploration of a scientific manuscript from the 15th century! We'll identify authors of the alchemical works it contains, investigate the life of its copyist (a 16-year-old freshman at a college in Germany), and trace the ownership of the manuscript since 1459.   

Fred Oircheddu-Engel is a Professor of English at Denison University, where he enjoys introducing students to the complex beauty of medieval manuscripts, early literature, and language history.
